TRADING in CRASH!, 1999, ICA, London

For CRASH! we asked the ICA for money to invest in the stockmarket. The intention was to generate funds to pay us for the idea and performance. The ICA found a donor who was willing to invest £5000 in the project.
We had hoped to keep all the profits and return the original amount. The final agreement was that we and the donor would share the profits 50/50. The installation included a real time trading arena with computer and internet connection to an online broker. We started by trying us in day-trading, a very risky but possibly efficiant way to trade. Bloomberg TV then featured the project.

Für die Ausstellung CRASH! fand das ICA einen Sponsor, der bereit war £5000 in unser Projekt zu investieren. Das Projekt bestand darin, das Geld in Aktien zu investieren, um so ein Honorar für Idee und Per-
formance zu erwirtschaften. Wir einigten uns darauf, den Gewinn 50/50 mit dem Sponsor zu teilen. Die Installation enthielt eine Echtzeit-Trading-Plattform mit einer Verbindung zu einem Online Broker. Wir begannen mit Daytrading, einer riskanten aber manchmal effizienten Art des Handelns. Bloomberg TV berichtete über die Arbeit.
